I've not written fic like this in AGES.

so yesterday morning i woke up and my twitterfeed was FLOODED with news that the Tevatron was going to be shut down for good this October. and my two new characters Tevan and Serenity immediately demanded a story. and this is what came out of it.

honestly this was pretty easy to write. since the situation is similar to QE2's retirement - someone dies/goes away for good, and the other one is left behind. so it was just a matter of transferring the situation to different characters.

the LHC & Tevatron belong to CERN and Fermilab respectively.
*don't have the space in my garden to own a hadron collider*
